As of March 2016, Turkey is the largest refugee hosting country in the world. Turkey is now hosting over 3 million refugees from at least 70 countries, and this number is expected to rise. This puts Turkey at the epicenter of the refugee crisis. Resources on the ground are desperately needed for refugees from the Middle East and other countries. ORAM is working in Turkey in partnership with the UNHCR and local NGOs to provide essential services. One of our key activities is securing access to the resettlement system for vulnerable LGBT refugees.
